"Feldenkrais represents a revolution
in human health."

Smithsonian Magazine

The Feldenkrais Method is an internationally acclaimed system of body/mind education
that can improve posture, flexibility and coordination, and alleviate muscular tension and pain.
Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc. (1904-1984), a physicist, athlete and martial artist, learned to
access the power of the central nervous system to improve body function when his own
doctors couldn't fully restore movement to his injured knee. The method he developed relies
on gentle movement and directed attention to increase the ease and range of motion.

Unlike massage or chiropractic, the Feldenkrais Method engages the whole body:
your brain, intelligence and awareness. The goal is to help you re-learn how to move your
body, replacing old stressful ways with new, more comfortable habits. People around the
world have discovered that a lifetime of pain is neither necessary nor inevitable.

The Feldenkrais Method can enhance the well-being of persons of any age and ability.
It offers relief from many types of chronic pain, and can help people with neuromuscular
disorders such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and stroke. Many athletes and dancers
use the Feldenkrais Method as part of their overall conditioning.
